Our Story
Not quite Eden. This name is a nod to the fact that we live in a world that is not quite the paradise our souls long for. You know, the paradise where love and justice rule, the food, air and water are clean and we can eat bread and dairy without gastrointestinal distress?
I’ve been fighting this fallen world in different ways for a very long time - from trying to find natural cures for my Dad’s cancer and still having to watch him slip away to being well known online as, “Good Patriot,” the girl who fights for freedom from tyranny and shows people how to freeze dry ice cream for the apocalypse.
But fighting a very broken world is tiring and I now believe that the best thing I can do is actually give the fight over to the One it belonged to in the first place - our Warrior King.
In fact, He’s already won the battle. We are just waiting for that time where He brings back the paradise that was always supposed to be.
Oh, what a day that will be - endless sourdough bread and butter, no chemtrails and in-person worship of the Creator of the stars!
Until then, we are in this wait together and that means we simply do our best to be clean (in body, mind and soul) in a very dirty world.
This is Not Quite Eden.
We talk about what faith looks like in a broken world.
We talk about what health looks like in a broken system.
We talk about some mild to moderate conspiracy theories, homesteading and one of my favorite subjects - chickens.
Lastly, we sell some products that I have been passionate about for a very long time. I started using natural medicines over 35 years ago because I was blessed to have parents who questioned the mainstream narratives that you and I are still questioning today.
I am so happy you are here and hope that you relate to some of my story.
While we wait for a place that is quite Eden, please take a look around our website and check out our social media pages. I hope you’ll find the encouragement, solutions, ideas and hopefully some laughs that you are looking for.
For the Kingdom,
Katie
